The following are the testimonies that were published in our email
Newsletter/updates. Those that have written their testimonies have
done so out of gratitude with a desire that others experience the
freedom they have found in the Lord. We repeat them here for the
same reasons and to honor the Lord for the wonders He has done.

TESTIMONIES
ONE FAMILY’S EXPERIENCE OF THE UNBOUND FREEDOM CONFERENCE (FORMALLY KNOWN AS FREEDOM IN CHRIST)
The Freedom in Christ conference held this fall in Salem, Massachusetts was a life-changing experience for my family. We are so very grateful to Jesus for His visitation there and to the Lozano’s and the prayer team members.
Our story actually begins several weeks prior to Freedom in Christ, when I was invited to discern if involvement on the prayer team was something to which the Lord called me. Prior to the invitation, I had never heard of Neal Lozano or Freedom in Christ, but I trusted those that invited me so, I was eager to learn more and agreed to attend several training/discernment sessions.
Those sessions were a great revelation to me as Fred, the leader, gently and thoughtfully explained the core concepts underlying Neal Lozano’s deliverance ministry and taught us the method of prayer described by Neal in his book Unbound. Toward the end of the second session, we attendees were invited to experience deliverance prayer ourselves, and it was then that the Lord really touched me.
I had walked with Jesus for many years but had long struggled with scrupulosity that robbed me of joy. Intellectually, I knew that I could go deeper with the Lord, but I just didn’t know how to make it happen. When I explained my situation to the prayer team leader, he caringly led me through an interview process that uncovered unresolved issues with my father.
Growing up, I had a very difficult relationship with my father. I will not go into detail here, but one thing I heard often from him were the words: “You’re not worth the powder to blow you to hell.”
The severity of the wound those words inflicted on my spirit was revealed through deliverance prayer. The prayer team leader helped me to understand those words as a curse that Satan had exploited over the years to steal from me the abundant life the Lord intended. When this was brought into the light, I was able to forgive my father, renounce the curse he had spoken, and be set free from the associated spiritual bondage. The blessing I then received from the Lord was simply remarkable.
Through that same deliverance prayer, I also came to see that scrupulosity and religiosity were an attempt to please God, my view of whom was distorted by the broken relationship I had with my earthly father. Jesus also liberated me from that horrible burden and helped me to truly experience “freedom.”
Once prayer concluded, my heart was overflowing. My discernment was complete, and I knew that the Lord wanted me to share the blessing I had received by serving on the prayer team for Freedom in Christ. I left the session eager to tell my story to family and friends. I also left mindful of the warning given by the prayer team that deliverance ministry is spiritual warfare and that the enemy would very likely launch a counter-offensive. It happened within 24 hours.
The next day, my family gathered at the dinner table. During the meal, I began excitedly to tell of my experience with deliverance prayer and how the Lord had set me free. My son-in-law, a true intellectual who dearly loves the Lord, began to query me about my experience. He seemed especially concerned that the newfound freedom of which I spoke might threaten my orthodoxy and my view of Church authority.
In retrospect, I can appreciate his unease. At the time, however, I was speaking experientially and he was inquiring intellectually. We were definitely not on the same wavelength, and things went terribly awry. At the peak of our mutual misunderstanding, he rose from the table offended, and he and my daughter departed abruptly with my granddaughter. My wife and I were devastated. But the Lord is faithful! What the enemy intends for evil, Jesus intends for good.
This led to a reconciliation meeting mediated by two close friends that were also trained for the conference. At that prayerful – but difficult – meeting, it became apparent that the incident at the dinner table had deeper roots than we realized. We discussed our relationship with each other and with the Lord at a more profound level than we had previously experienced. Mutual forgiveness happened. Our mutual love and respect were greatly reinforced, and our relationship emerged far stronger. God is so good.
When the Freedom in Christ conference was finally held, my son-in-law came and experienced an intense healing himself. He has since become involved, with me, as a prayer team member and has introduced many others to the blessing of deliverance prayer.
The wonderful news doesn’t stop there. My wife attended and experienced deliverance from perfectionism and self-condemnation. My oldest son, and his girlfriend, attended, and she was especially blessed. Finally, my youngest son (15 years old) attended, but he was sick and had to leave on Saturday morning before the prayer teams met. Undeterred, he has since sought deliverance prayer twice with the local prayer team
I mentioned at the outset that our family was richly blessed through Freedom in Christ. I hope this witness effectively conveys even a hint of that blessing.
A MAN FROM SOUTH AFRICA
A lady approached me for prayer because of various problems she was experiencing. She wanted to be productive in her service for the Lord Jesus, but she experienced a "blockage". She could not make any progress, she also could not read and retain Scripture. She would listen to a sermon, read the Bible and immediately would forget what she read. It lead to tremendous frustration for her. The interesting fact is that she is a secretary handling orders and deliveries and in her work she never forgets anything! Christian counselors told her to continue praying and reading the Bible etc. I prayed for her using the five steps as explained in Unbound. During our first two times of prayer, we dealt with some minor occult involvement and also her father's involvement in Freemasonry. She experienced release and freedom but the problem with retaining Scripture remained. Then she asked for another appointment and shared with me that she saw a picture of a Hindu fire walking ceremony in the newspaper. She was reminded that she was taken to such a ceremony when she was still a little girl. Neither she nor her mother were Hindu's, her mother merely went out of curiosity and ignorantly took her little daughter along. She confessed that she was in a place that is an abomination to God, even though she was there out of ignorance. But she could not say the words to renounce and take authority. "Something" was blocking her speech. I took authority over it and commanded it to go. Peace came over her and six months down the line she can still read and study the Word like all of us. Jesus is faithful!
A WOMAN FROM POLAND WROTE
Last Sunday we prayed with a friend from our community and although she had never heard your teaching or read the book, we had a wonderful prayer time. It was complete with deep forgiveness from the place of hurt, and the feeling that "something like white bats lifted and flied away" when we finished. Everything happened just like you describe in your book, an "exemplary" prayer. It made me realize that what you teach is not something you "invented", a new prayer model, but something which reflects the deeper truths about our human condition. Our friend immediately recognized the reality of evil spirits in our lives and was very active in searching through her soul and heart to find what she should renounce. I had such joy in my heart that day! She said she felt a bit afraid to walk in her new freedom, like someone who has just had the cast taken off a leg, which had been broken and is afraid to use the newly healed leg. A wonderful experience!
I felt so honored to have heard your teaching and to be able to serve this sister, even though she is older and has walked with the Lord longer than me. And I love the Lord so much for doing such wonderful things and letting me be part of it!
